SOLAR OVEN CAN DESALINATE WATER

Gabrielle Diamant, An Italian graduate student, has developed a solar oven that can desalinate water. This oven is capable of purifying 5 liters of water in a single day. Solar still technology, nothing but water desalination plant, is an old tech. Despite this they are common in developing countries. It is found on a larger scale in institutions that serve communities: water desalination plants or hospitals. Diamanti came up with this open source project as he wanted families to access desalination process in a simple-to-use mode.
