We all know about the Insanity of Common Core Math. The Common Core state standards, now in place in 44 states, will require that elementary school kids not just to know how to subtract, multiply and divide, but to understand what they’re doing and why.
But rarely can a kid make politicians, educational standards shills, and Washington bureaucrats looks so silly, so quickly and effectively:
So who’s right? The educators who insist on making the fundamentals of mathematics as complex as a Rubik’s cube, or the kid who probably has secret access to his mom’s old flashcards and sees this as a foolish waste of time?
