Why No Aeroplane Passes Over Tibet?

Tibet is a neighbouring country between India and China. Tibet has its own identity in the whole world, then whether it is from a spiritual point of view or tourism. Tibet is also called the roof of the world due to its high elevation from the sea and is surrounded by huge mountain ranges.

Tibet is one of those special parts of the earth, where the service of the aircraft is very less. Due to the height of Tibet, it is impossible to fly planes over it. That is why the movement of planes over there is negligible.

This is the lowest pressure area in the world and oxygen can be made available to the passengers for only 20 minutes. It is not possible to save a large number of people in a short time in the event of an emergency.

The airline’s expert says that air traffic over the Tibetan plateau is not possible, because there is a lack of air in this area, so an aircraft can’t fly there.

The climate of Tibet is very different from that of the rest of the airways because the jet currents are faster due to the height and proximity to Mount Everest. It is dangerous for an aircraft to withstand such high currents. The airstrip in Tibet is so narrow, that so far only 8 pilots in the world were able to take off the aircraft.
